Many factors can influence motivation and achievement in sport settings: a capacity for autonomy of the athletes, their competence and 9️⃣ social ties established.

This study was a descriptive, aimed at analyzing the motivation level of soccer and volleyball teams in two 9️⃣ counties of the state of Parana - Brazil, which have characteristics different socioeconomic and financial investments in relation to sports 9️⃣ activities.

The study subjects were 47 athletes from volleyball and indoor soccer adult category.

To measure the level of motivation of the 9️⃣ athletes was used Motivation Scale for Sport.

For comparison between groups used the Mann Whitney U test for non-normal data, the 9️⃣ Student t test for independent normal data and analysis of variance Kruskal-Wallis, setting the significance level of 5%.
