All mainline console releases of God of War can be played on the PS5, but some require a PS+ Premium subscription. Unfortunately, the two God of War games released for the PSP are not playable on the PS5.

While you can absolutely play Ragnarok on its own, it's definitely "part two"; the pair of games share a lot of the same DNA and tell one epic story.
